Privacy Policy
This policy explains how The Hair Bar Salon handles personal information when you visit this site or request an appointment.
Last updated: August 18, 2026
01
Information we collect
When you request an appointment, we collect the information needed to administer it: your name, phone number, selected professional and service, requested date and time, and any notes you choose to provide. Email is optional.
We also process limited technical and operational information needed to protect the website, prevent abuse, and understand aggregate site activity. We do not use this information to create advertising profiles.
02
How we use information
We use booking information to show availability, create and manage appointments, administer deposits, respond to changes or cancellations, and operate the salon.
Authorized salon staff use appointment information only as needed to provide and manage the requested service. Access to internal staff tools is restricted to authorized users.
03
Payments and deposits
When an online deposit is available, payment is completed through Square's hosted checkout. The Hair Bar website does not receive or store card numbers or Cash App payment credentials.
We receive only the information needed to administer the related reservation and deposit, such as payment status, the related transaction reference, and the deposit amount. Square's handling of payment information is governed by its own terms and privacy notice.
04
Internal Google Calendar scheduling
Google Calendar is an optional internal scheduling tool for authorized salon staff. It is not a client-facing Google login or client calendar service.
If an authorized staff member chooses to connect a work calendar, the service uses the calendar-events permission only to create, update, and remove confirmed salon appointment events. Those events may contain the client name, service, date and time, phone number, optional email or notes, and appointment or deposit status so the professional can manage the appointment.
The connected calendar identifier and authorization needed to maintain the connection are protected and retained only while the connection remains active. An authorized staff member can disconnect the calendar or revoke access through their Google Account permissions.
The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is not sold, used for advertising, or used to train generalized artificial-intelligence or machine-learning models.
05
When information is shared
We do not sell personal information. We share it only when necessary to deliver or protect the requested service: with authorized salon staff, Square for an online deposit, Google for a calendar voluntarily connected by authorized staff, service providers that host or secure the site, or when required by law.
This site may link to or embed third-party services such as Google Maps and social media. Those services operate under their own policies and may use their own cookies or similar technologies when you use them.
06
Retention and security
We retain appointment information for the time reasonably needed to operate the salon, manage changes, protect the service, resolve disputes, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Information for a connected work calendar is removed from this service when the connection is disconnected, except where retention is otherwise required.
We use reasonable safeguards designed to protect information, including access controls, secure staff sessions, and hosted payment collection. No internet service can guarantee absolute security.
07
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site or its practices change. The date above shows the latest revision.
